Heavy 4 foot swell this morning with 5-6 foot walls of water over at the Creek. The breeze is force 2 gusting to 3 southwesterly cross/onshore.

7.30am and this morning's big waves had attracted tow in surfers Howard and Al to try them:








Finally, the computer predictions haven't included Rossnowlagh in the great storm that is likely to hit southern UK tomorrow but talk of the storms of the late 1980s reminded me of Barry Britton's 1988 Intercounties poster celebrating the great storm of 9 February 1988, when waves were breaking on the landward side of the Sandhouse Hotel.
