Calm ocean continues this morning, with southeasterly offshore force 1 breeze. However that is all about to change. According to forecasts the afternoon will bring a northwesterly swell with breeze continuing 3-4 offshore. It looks as if Surferireland did make that sacrifice to the surf gods (see Surferireland's comment at yesterday's post)

And entirely unrelated but worth mentioning, the cuckoo was heard in Rossnowlagh yesterday.

Flat sea with a light force 2 westerly onshore breeze and on the Smugglers Creek cliff edge, a hen party is still in progress. The hens were diverted to Rossnowlagh when their flight to Liverpool was grounded by volcanic ash. The portable young man is called Don.

Experts predicted an extra spectacular sunset last night but her in Rossnowlagh it was a fairly average one. On a scale of Rossnowlagh sunsets, about 5. See below.
