Roads are clear but water mains are frozen. Council water engineers have to be out, fixing frozen mains but for everyone else it's a good day to sit at home by the fire.

Below, December visitors to Rossnowlagh - the whooper swans that feed at Birra Lough at Durnish, beyond the sand dunes, and sleep in the Erne Estuary near Ballyshannon. I've heard them passing pre-dawn for the past 3 days but this morning they came just as light was breaking.
