And now, walkabout, starting with the roadside verges that have been allowed to fulfill themselves with mature wild blossom this year instead of being cut down in early July. One of the delights of walkabout right now.

Starting with yarrow - the dried stalks of this strongly scented herb are used by the Chinese for divination in conjunction with their book of wisdom, the I Ching.



Followed by honeysuckle, thistle, meadowsweet, knapweed and one of those umbellifer type flowers that come in so many varieties that I seldom get their name right.






The council signs are aspirational - if only dogs could read - but the public have made a good effort to keep the beach clean, filling bins and bringing the rest home.




Clever parking. Showing only thewheels in case the nanny council disapproves.

In th 1960s, when councils charged for services, a line up like this below was called Penny Lane.
