Today is a wonder of nature - the vernal equinox falls today, exactly halfway between winter and summer; extreme low tides today and tomorrow along with a new moon; and this morning, at approximately 9.25 (earlier if you're further east) the moon will pass between the earth and the sun, obscuring up to 90 percent so there will be a couple of chilly twilight hours this morning till the scary monster that eats the sun gives it back again.
There is a light cloud over the sun right now but cloud is clearing from the west so the sun should be clear shortly.
