A wintry day today but yesterday was almost like spring - see below a walk in the woods, just a 10 minute drive inland to Laputa, a small wood by the Erne with snowdrops and ancient trees. The wood is a remnant of a seventeenth house and garden that inspired a visitor, Dean Jonathan Swift, to give the name Laputa to one of the lands visited by Gulliver on his Travels. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laputa
The original Laputa was submerged by the artificial lake created by the Cathleen's Falls dam at Ballyshannon.
