A virtual visit to the creek 7.30am

This morning's surf report is in the earlier post below this one. What we have here is a virtual visit to the creek, for Coolmore exiles on this March morning - Raymond in Birmingham, Anne in Colorado and John in Reading.

Rossnowlagh beach may be lovely but for anybody who has spent childhood years in Coolmore, the beach is only an appendage to the Creek which is the secret heart of Coolmore. With its little rock pools full of exciting sea life and the ladies pool, perfect for learning to swim and dive when the tide fills it right up, the Creek is as close as any place can come to paradise.

This morning the camera, the dog and I disturbed the tern that sleep on the flat rocks. There's a big swell running at the Connachtman and the tide is rising so the ladies pool is brimming over.

Enjoy the visit. I'll do low tide another day.
