Below, Rossnowlagh's solstice sunrise is about 20 minutes later than at Newgrange and screened from view by Rossnowlagh's surrounding hills. However the clouds caught the light of this morning's dawn and shared it with the sea.

Just resolved this morning's blogging problem - I unplugged the computer during yesterday's thunder/lightning/hail storm and then computer got the date wrong when re-connected. I've just adjusted the date to 20 December 2013, so all is working correctly on this second shortest day of the year.
